Introduction

In the next few weeks I will (hopefully) be traveling across the globe to West Papua, Indonesia.  More specifically Sentani, Indonesia; just a hop, skip, and a jump from the capital city Jayapura (Formerly known as Irian Jaya). Perhaps you became slightly concerned when you read "hopefully".  Let me explain.  I am currently working on the lengthy and rather confusing process of acquiring a visa. I say hopefully simply because I would like to be leaving in a few weeks so I can become accustom to a new way of life before I jump into service.  I will be going on my adventure with God but it may not be in my timing.  In fact I can guarantee that it will not happen in my timing, this will be an exercise in trust.

For those who do not know, I will be teaching Anatomy and Physiology for a local high school called, "Hillcrest International". However, teaching only 1 class will probably not fill up my day. The rest of the day will be spent either helping in the school's clinic, assisting the Boyd family with out-reach projects, or doing any jobs the school may need help with. In other words, I must practice flexibility in my day to day tasks.

Please feel free to join me on this exciting adventure, either here, Facebook, Instagram, or email (kathrynschreiner@southern.edu). I plan to write down my stories so I can keep in touch with everyone back home.

With Love, KD Schreiner
